An NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) is a work-based qualification that assesses your competence in a real job role. You complete it using evidence from your day-to-day responsibilities, not exams or classroom learning.
You’ll be supported by an experienced CMIOSH assessor who provides regular feedback and clear guidance. They will help you understand the requirements and build a strong portfolio throughout your qualification.
Completion time varies depending on your role and the level. As a guide, most learners complete Level 3 within 4–8 months and Level 6 within 6–12 months, working at a pace that fits around their job.
Yes. If you're progressing from a Level 3 qualification or hold equivalent experience, you can move on to the Level 6 NVQ. Your suitability is confirmed during the initial call to ensure the level matches your responsibilities.
NVQs are competence-based and assessed through workplace evidence. NEBOSH qualifications are knowledge-based and assessed through exams. Both are recognised, but NVQs offer a more flexible route for those who prefer practical, on-the-job learning.
